Reviews

One of the most obvious parodies of a mainstream film to date, Beverly Hills Cop earnestly attempts something different. Unfortunately, not only is the production not the least bit funny, but the acting and set design is just plain dull. Fortunately, Heather Wayne, a pretty, sexy, likeable actress who portrays a nymphomaniac, performs four sex scenes in a row, and she's a pleasure to watch.

Which is not to say that all of her scenes achieve great erotic heights. The sex liners at times, and her male counterparts don't always perform admirably. But Heather has a nice scene with Marc Wallace that makes at least a part of the tape worth a book.

The story goes nowhere; an incomprehensible yarn that tries to showcase Peter Pole in a non-sexual Eddie Murphy role. He has Murphy's laugh down, but that's about it. The video quality, while excellent, does not enhance what looks like a quickie production. Beverly Hills Cop makes an attempt, but a lame one nonetheless.
