Oh, come on! If this is their idea of an exciting, erotic island, I'll take Coney any day.

Let's see . . . somewhere in Latin America a dictator orchestrates the abduction and detection of the country's prostitutes on a deserted island in order to avoid a U.S. Investigation into "young European girls being held against their will" (that would explain the abundance of blondes). El Presidente appoints his mistress (second runner-up in the "Ilsa" look-alike contest) to act as "warden," but she delights in (off-screen) torturing and humiliating of her charges. Three girls, however, use their feminine wiles and karate to make a daring escape . . .

At least, that's what it looks like the principals are doing. You can't prove it by the soundtrack, which is so badly dubbed it gives the viewer a headache. Godzilla films have better synchronization than Island Women.

Regarding the plot, it resembles a string of bad exploitation films strung together. Take Ilsa, Big Bird Cage and some stock location footage from Under Fire and you will no doubt have a better film than this. Even the music is laughable, bringing to mind the local skating rink's "Mexican Fiesta Night."

If full frontal nudity alone is what you're looking for, there is certainly enough in Island Women to satisfy. Adult film viewers looking for anything more of interest will be not only disappointed, but quite possibly (and understandably) hacked off.
