College sororities – ivy-covered halls widely believed to house girls who throw wild parties and display open lust – would be enough to arouse erotic images in any viewer. But a lack of continuity, poor video and audio quality, and strange directorial choices helps turn Cumming Coeds into a boring tape that flunks Eroticism 101.

Forced to sell their sorority house, the sisters of Summa Titta (Bunny Blue, Sheri St. Claire and Rene Summers) become determined to save their humble abode. After proving that the house has historic significance to the city fails, the girls are left with one alternative: blackmail. They photograph themselves with the mayor (Billy Joe Fields), the college dean (Jerry Davis) and a city councilman (Scott Mallory) in sexual encounters, and then use the photos to persuade the trio not to sell the house.

This could have been a good story. But director William Margold's use of very short expository scenes to set up the blackmail sex sessions hampers the viewer's ability to concentrate on the plot or the players. This feeling of disarray is intensified by exaggerated fade-ins that leave the actors looking behind the camera for the "cut" cue, and the viewers waiting for the next scene,

The audio is also annoying. At the start of the film, there is such a difference in the loudness between the narrator and the cast that it is necessary to adjust the volume. And during the sex scenes, a hard-driving music score drowns out all dialogue. The cast performs admirably in both delivery of lines and "playroom" scenes. But any stimulation of thought or hormones is lost in the almost aimless wandering of editing decisions, reducing Cumming Coeds to Stumbling Students who are far from making straight "A's" at the University of AVN.
