Oh, dear... another adult movie where the actors write their own dialogue... or so it seems. I suppose there has to be something to put between the admittedly well-done sex scenes, and if one needs someone to invent smalltalk, John Leslie is probably one of the best. But please! Modern connoisseurs of erotic cinema look for more than that, even in this quickie-but-goodie.

The plot, such as it is, has our boys, XXX-rated stars in their own right, deciding to shoot their own XXXX-rated movie (Lord knows what the extra X is for). And strangely enough (hah!), they don't have any trouble finding willing females to star with them. It's an old plot, much better done in the soft-X film Inserts.

Surprisingly, Jerry Butler, who seems to be much better actor on film than in shot-on-video features, does a good job this time around. Leslie also gives his usual excellent performance, though it's obvious he's struggling with scanty material. Amber Lynn, as usual, performs much better lying down than sitting up and talking, but even her horizontal performance is eclipsed by newcomer Sheer Delight.

Of particular interest is John's first sexual encounter with Sheer, in Jerry's mirrored bedroom. Some of the effects in that sequence almost alone make it worth renting the tape. At times, it's hard to tell whether they're playing with their partners, or the image in the mirror. Quite unusual and erotic.

The film within a film, of course, gets made, and as the final sighs fade out, the viewer is presented with the possibility of That 4-X-Feeling, Part 2. Perhaps next time, they'll consider using dialogue and more rehearsal, because the sex here is very good.
