This is one of those ever-growing number of harmless yet thoroughly entertaining sexvids, that neither attempts too much or leaves the viewer with too little. The whole idea behind The Sex Dancer is simple: get a bunch of pros together and let them go at it without burdening the feature with much of a plot.

Of course, the whole secret for this to work is the quality of the sex and production. And it's on this front that Sex Dancer scores big. The plot is based on a sex troupe preparing to put on a sex show. This lends itself perfectly to the cast's sexual shenanigans. I must admit, I've long been a Patti Petite fan, and in my book she steals the show (particularly when she hooks up with Erica Boyer in a great lesbian scene).

Other than some periodic grunting and moaning that doesn't quite match the action, the cinematography is excellent. The only problem, and this is probably nitpicking, occurs in the final scene when an annoying strobe light is utilized. If your eyeballs don't fall out, chances are you'll be reaching for the Visine.

But if you want a night of standard, yet very hot, erotica, The Sex Dancer isn't a bad choice at all.
