These two adult cartoons are definitely unique, but just how erotic the Brothers Grime X-Rated Cartoons are is subject to considerable debate. These two cartoons – "Gonad the Barbarian" and "In Search of Uranus" – feature plenty of sex. But most of it is the forced/rape kind. In "Uranus," a multi-tentacle being must exchange life juices with 100 virgins in order to be reborn. So he kidnaps them, ties them up, then penetrates them in every opening with his many limps. In "Gonad," a master criminal has taken secret agent Pussy La'Mour hostage, but is foiled in his plans by Princess Layme. But he still manages to violate the helpless agent before Layme comes to the rescue.
The animation seems stiff and repetitive, as several scenes are used again and again at different times. The entire tape has the feel of an old "Astro Boy" cartoon, and for a step up in quality producer/writer/director Arthur Kind should look to improve the animation. The dialog and narration are at times comical, but this is supposed to be an adult cartoon with sex.
There's a good idea here, and it may be unfair to be so harsh at such an early stage of development. I like the concept, and the stories (if you take out all the forced sex scenes) aren't that bad. Better animation and more human sexuality (too many space monsters here) would be a welcomed change, however.
