How to Strip for Your Lover is one of those so-called instructional tapes that are really more of a video to enliven a women's party.

The slight plot peg uses ace investigative reporter Prudence Zornblatt to check out a class of women eager to learn how to strip for their lovers. Naturally, pretty Prudence has her own strip tease fantasy before the final fade-out.

Easily the most fascinating segment features vintage film clips of strippers from the late Twenties and early Thirties. These bawdy black & white clips will please nostalgia buffs, but unfortunately this segment flickers by much too quickly.

Probably the silliest segment is a birthday party with the men acting like a bunch of gawking adolescents in front of the lascivious lady. Also, they could have eliminated the jerk who keeps blowing party favors into the roving camera.

For the ladies, a handsome hunk energetically strips down to his G-string in a swift scene. This guy certainly knows all the right moves. The Chippendales might even pick up a few pointers from him.

At 40 minutes the video breezes by fast enough. Technically the tape quality is fairly sharp, and the camera work is competent. Surprisingly, there's very little nudity in this talky tape. Still, it might give viewers a few useful tips on how to strip in a hopefully seductive manner.
