It was a time after the big fires. The people lived in desolation, staying alive by their wits. Women ruled the land and the coin of the realm was the seed of man. Thus we meet Moxie, "The Load Warrior," King of the Frontier, and the last man on earth without a radioactive Rodney.

Moxie comes upon a "Cow" (Randy West) who is doing all he can to provide a meager lifestyle for his family. When they see what he has, they immediately set off for the town of "Motherload" to seek their fortune. Everyone goes after Moxie's magic wand, leaving Randy to seek pleasure, a heretofore unknown commodity. How Moxie saves the world I will not divulge. But he does, and, according to this film, that's how we all got here.

I can't remember having more fun with a plot line than I had in this film. The cast reads the well-written script in fine form, the sex is well performed, and if there is a flaw, it's that the mood of the piece, which shows the world in desolation, forces the cast to perform in strange places (often precluding the graphic displays found in most shot-on-video fare). Much of the sex footage is dark (the trailer set is hard to light), but in spite of this, the clever script, great sex and super special effects make The Load Warriors a movie I highly recommend.

I cannot quarrel with anything about The Load Warriors, except mabe they should have given Sharon Mitchell a chance to become more physically involved. A talented actress, Mitchell handles her lines well, but she is only borderline involved in the sex, and never goes one on one. I would also like to call attention to the musical score by Brian Bryan. It's one of the drivingest I have heard in an adult film. The Load Warriors is a treat for the eyes, ears and crotch. Don't miss this one.
