There are a couple of nice advantages to tapes like these. If you like your sex wham-bam-thank-you-mam, these are no-nonsense, no-frills product. Secondly, of course, is the price tag, which should appeal to the buyer's market. Directed by Stuart Canterbury, this series could have been dubbed Canterbury's Tails — certainly we see enough of the female variety. Unfortunately, the episodes here have none of the sexual verve and originality as Chaucer's.
Tracey Adams looks pert and sweet enough to be selling oatmeal, but has the lethally seductive body of a sexual terminatrix. She plays out several episodes, the most provocative one being with Harry Reems during a "job interview" in a hotel room. As if all of them are conducted in hotel rooms. These two generate enough current to recharge the power pack that keeps Nina Hartley's eyes flickering — which incidentally, Adams does in a "guest" stint on Hartley's tape. The other episode of note is the kinky scene she plays out with Jerry Butler on top of a bar in a cocktail lounge, after hours of course.
Brittany Stryker's tape features cameos by Nina Hartley and Tracey Adams in the first episode, which has Stryker as a barmaid going down on the bartender in the same cocktail lounge that Adams/Butler frequent. Anyone have the address? Stryker gets busted for soliciting and winds up in a jail cell with two perky prosties who try to physically convince her that men aren't all they're cracked up to be. The third episode is a nice little fantasy sequence that takes place in a cabin cruiser.
There is a lot of cross pollinization going on in these tapes. Fact of the matter, I found Barbara Dare's sex interludes more provocative on Cara Lott's tape than on her own. Barbara Dare is a gorgeous example of womanhood, unfortunately the camera angles bury that gorgeous head in crotch for most of the running time in her performances. Yet this remains a pretty good buy since you get a total of five, count 'em five, sex episodes in a half hour.
Cara Lott, as mentioned, features Barbara Dare in a cute story in which a sophisticated gent and his nerd buddy take the ladies to a sophisticated restaurant, only to have the sophisto guy lose his pants in a very unsophisticated manner. Krista Lane plays out a couple of interesting fantasy-type sequences. If you've always relished the idea of doing it in a library, check out Krista's index—third shelf from the bottom. And last but not least, Nina Hartley plays out a trio of quickie sketches and gives additional meaning to the phrase "bright-eyed and bushy tailed."
