Some of these girls are pretty. Okay, I'll admit they're gorgeous. So what a disappointment to find a tape with 60 beautiful bare-chested girls where very little happens. This beauty pageant search for the perfect centerfold might titillate the novice viewer, but will probably bore the veteran.

The blondes and brunettes and redheads parade in front of the judges and live audience, but that's all they do. They parade and smile. Included is behind the scenes video footage, lots of still shoots and an interview with the photographer. But on stage, the girls strut their stuff, keep their bottoms on, and move too quickly for us to fully enjoy their wares.

Once the semi-finalists are chosen, you get a closer look at some of the prettier models. The process they use to choose the finals will disappoint, although from the looks of the audience at Ford Lauderdale's Solid Gold club, you'd think nirvana had been reached.

This live, TV show approach has been used before and it only works when something new and imaginative is done with it. Here, we have all the makings of a beautiful tape, and you'll feel like some creativity could have made it a true softcore classic.
