Reviews

Every once in a while an erotic video comes along that stands head and shoulders above the routine everyday junk that the industry foists on the unwary. In the mode of Chuck Vincent's Roommates and Henri Pachard's Taboo American Style add Anthony Spinelli's Never Enough.

Randy West and Joey Silvera play two mismatched hitmen, hiding out in a sleazy motel, having apparently botched a job for an unseen "don." Their relationship is reminiscent of Leny and George in Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men, with West self-assured and Silvera self-destructive. The feature begins with West and Cheri Taylor getting it on and Tianna and Silvera in the next room trying to shut it all out. West constantly gets it done; Silvera dreams. Eventually, Silvera shares his pal's hooker (Sabrina Dawn), and the men's differences grow wider and wider.

As with features like Roommates and Spinelli's best (Nothing to Hide, No One to Love), story takes precedence over eroticism. Yet the sex turns out very hot. Though there are only three sex scenes, each are memorable for presentation, performance and overall heat. Silvera's dream sequence, where he changes character and becomes tender and caring, approaches classic status. All of the scenes contain wonderful cinematography and sharp editing, with the finest acting the industry has to offer.

Remember, I'm the guy that first recommended Taboo American Style; and I was as sure then as I am now.
