Beat the Heat, while possibly inspired by Night Trips and other stylized erotica, takes a very straightforward approach. Beach lifeguard Diedre Holland has a light work day, so she embarks on sexual fantasies about the hardbodies who populate the beach and copulate in other locales.

Shot completely outdoors with just a few lines of dialogue, Beat the Heat manages to create a couple of fine erotic moments, if not quite living up to the adventurous title. Good technical qualities aid the sex scenes with beautiful blonde Danielle Rogers and Randy Spears and the closer with spears and Holland.

The Nordic fencing lesbian fantasy creates the most lustful moments as Jennifer Stewart and Diedre try to devour each other. There's a poolside scene and a picnic scene as director Paul Thomas seems to be creating different sexual moods, perhaps similar to the lustful dreams we all have when in the summer sun and on the beach. It pretty much works, as it's a decent entry in Vivid's series created for bombshell Diedre Holland.
