Shout “Hallelujah,” c’mon, get happy! Reverend Sweetness of the Worldwide Sexual Ministry is here to cure couples of their erotic afflictions with his own “laying on of hands.” The good Reverend’s cures are the plot of Black Fox, a well-scripted and well-videographed all-black entry that stays away from “streetwise” stereotypes in favor of good, solid couples’ action. Ray Victory, perhaps the industry’s busiest black actor, is Rev. Sweetness, who teaches a thing or two about “doing unto others” as he cures frigid housewife Nina DePonca. Meanwhile, ministry aide Mistress Stephanie does her “charity work” Regis Stallion and Johnny Cool, followed by an encounter between Victory and his “secret helper,” hooker Ebony Ayes. There’s nothing but straight-forward duets here, all handled with fine production values and a uniformly good cast (Ayes and Victory’s closing coupling is certainly worth an “Amen”). Arousing packaging makes this one a recommended title all around.
