FBI In Search of Bondage centers on a mythical FBI raid of an adult video company that produces bondage tapes. In uncanny docu-drama fashion, agents Claude Winchel, a beefed-up Ed Powers-type and British blonde Darian Haze break into the company's offices at night and stift through evidence they can use to establish a major porn conspiracy. This also serves as a clever framing device that allows the agents to view bondage material on the company's TV monitors and allows them to present the cliched government party line in these types of cases. Although the agents from the get-go spout the Miller decision credo, they get hotter than a couple of cats on a tin roof the more they watch this material.
The bondage sequence itself is a strange one but very erotically cast and photographed. It centers around a cult of hooded figures who stretch damsels out on an altar and do bondage-type things to their quivering nubile bodies. One of the best bondage sequences I've viewed in a long time, I might add. Casting an additional eerie glow to the proceedings is the presence of their musclebound leader (Jay Giovanni), a Conan guy who reminds you of "Bruce," former porn star Vanity's old boyfriend. Jay, "The Master" speaks in guttural voice overlays that reminds you of Rambo gargling boric acid as the nearly nude women are hot waxed, tied, whipped and generally fondled. No longer in control of themselves, agents Winchel and Haze figure they've got to try this stuff for themselves and this leads to a sultry filling cabinet scene in which Haze is rope tied to the handles. It is fiery, energetic and slam bang in execution.
With plenty of humor and sensuality, FBI In Search of Bondage gets my nod as one of the more entertaining specialty tapes you'll find on the adult market. A great jazz score besides.
