Academy Entertainment seems to specialize in off-center horror films, and Midnight Kiss is one of those delightful vampire romps that puts another defining edge on the creatures of the night genre.

Gregory Greer plays a kind of glib, heavy metal, blond pony-tailed Dracula who may have seen one too many Julian Sands Warlock movies. Greer camps it up whole hog as he leaves a trail of victims, and it's left up to an ex-husband and wife cop team (and all the attendant acerbic dialogue characteristic of) to track him down.

Michelle Owens, as the wife who's now assigned to the rape crisis squad after screwmg up in a murder case, has the best lines and the best legs. Not as full-bodied (ahem) as some of the more recent erotic thriller entries on the video market, Midnight Kiss as its moments, and is eccentric enough to command attention for fans of this stuff.
