Blown Away is a laborious erotic thriller, directed strictly by the numbers, and scripted with an eagle eye for the cliché plot twist and the cardboard character. The two Coreys are a hostile pair of brothers who work at a resort and call each other "sphincter" and "dick breath", while Nicole Eggert is the owner's daughter, a spoiled, nubile rich bitch who blew up mom in her car for her Sweet Sixteen. For her 17th, she concocts a morass of manipulation and murder, spiced with seduction, fast cars, and explosive devices.

Everything is so overtly telegraphed and over-explicated, the movie moves at a snail's pace. The only punctuation is the sex scenes, mostly with Eggert baring her world-class ass with Haim. Except for their first torrid standing coupling at a party, these scenes are almost as slow-paced. Feldman deserves credit for bringing some edgy humor and energy to his scenes, but it's not enough to enliven the proceedings.

Nicole Eggert, with her lithe body, firm little tits and come-hither pout, should be a porn star. Why? Well, viewers of TV's "Charles In Charge" and "Baywatch" know she has limited acting range, and this movie proves no different. She does, however, get naked frequently and admirably, with both the porcine Feldman and the epicene Haim, and is convincing in both cases. My theory is that exhibitionism and a love of sex get her through — does a porn star need anything more? Sign her up!
