The British invasion kicked our ass in the 1960's when it came to popular music.  It also did a pretty good job when it came to glamour loops.  Photographer Harrison Marks was at the forefront of some of the hottest cheesecake celluloid to come out of the British Isles, and this video series offered by Filmfare Labs presents a sprinkling of some of Marks' best work.

Marks didn't just photograph a girl taking off her clothes.  He threw her into a middle of a plot featuring supporting characters and a storyline, and you'll be amazed at the production values incorporated in some of these skits.  Wendy Lutton featured in Vampire" (S-517) is a perfect example of what I'm saying.  Marks photographed some of the most gorgeous, "bustiful," well rounded women of their day, women like Vicki Kennedy, June Palmer and Pamela Green who are well represented in this series.

Volume 514 concentrates on the American big bust queens and offers a rare loop featuring Terry Higgins (as a brunette).  Higgins was one of the premier models from the early 1960's and her photographs were all over the pages of publications like Ace, Escapade and Bachelor.

Tape 514 also features a gal whose men's magazine ad would be quite familiar to the male, fortysomething crowd.  Her name was Honey Bee, and her eyebrows were almost as mammoth as her jugs.  Marcia Jordan, who went on to do a number of films with director A.C. Stephen, is also featured in a rare, early loop.  The tape also features Connie Selleca-lookalike Joan Brinkman who may be remembered from a nudie film, entitled The Bare Hunt.  Mickey Jines, a very popular girl-next-door redhead of her day, is also featured.

Volume 515 features the aforementioned Ms. Green, a statuesque blonde who wore her tresses in a bouffant with a long ponytail.  Pamela appears in a Marks skit called "Window Dresser," and though some of the footage is unfortunately washed out, you'll get a generous clue as to what made this British model so popular.  You can also catch her in Volume 516 in a skit called "Xcitement," which is one of the most sensuous black and white studies ever shot involving an evening gown, cigarettes and champagne.  A classic.

Brunette June Palmer is also featured in a lively Marks featurette called "Star Strip," and there's a wonderful skit towards the end of the tape featuring a knock-out blonde playing a game of strip poker with a set of gigantic playing cards.  Jayne Mansfield also appears in an excerpt that was featured in the Wild World of Jayne Mansfield.

Volume 516 again features Palmer and a very strange and bizarre title feature at the end of the tape called "Fortune Teller".  Check this one out to be sure.  There are something like 30 different loops contained in this volume.

Volume 517 may be the best collection of the series.  It features a couple of great color loops featuring blonde Cleo Simmonds, certainly one of the curviest and most exciting of the 1960's glamour models.  There's a lot of comments that can be made about these tapes, but if you derive maximum pleasure from watching a girl strip out of her duds, you will thank me for recommending this tape.  I've watched it four or five times and marvel at the quality of the women each and every time.

Jayne Mansfield's famous bathtub scene from the Tommy Noonan film, Promises, Promises, is included in S-518, and oldsters will remember the stir created by censors over this seemingly innocuous scene (by today's standards, anyway).  Kelly Evert who is still around and still stripping (in the name of God) is seen in one of her early loops.  Volume 519 is highlighted by the appearance of Michelle Angelo, one of the most popular figure models ever.  Michelle had one of the largest sets of areolas ever seen by man, and I think this was the key to her notoriety.  The volume includes a couple of Michelle loops you won't find on other collections.

Filmfare Labs features a remarkable collection of hard and softcore material from the nostalgic era, and these volumes priced at $19.95 each are the deal of the century.  There is a minimum charge of $5 for postage.
