Call me brain dead, but I enjoyed Body Waves.

It's one of those magnificently silly, off-the-wall romps from the Corman studios that only a proctologist could love.  It concerns a guy named Rick (Bill Calvert) who is heir to the vast Ano-Recto Cream empire.  Calvert, for reasons known only to him, doesn't want to follow in his father's (Roger Corman mainstay, Dick Miller) footsteps.  Well, would you want to be known as the Ano-Recto Cream king?

Dad has been putting the pressure on Rich to come in the family business.  Rich reneges.  The deal is this: dad is going on a there-week vacation and junior has that time to make $3000 in any way he chooses, as long as it's some form of entrepreneurial endeavor.  If Rich shows he can make it on his own, dad will get off his case.

Rich and his buddy sell off a dead relative's burial urn to finance their first business enterprise - a suntan lotion concession.  As it turns out, the stuff is pure garbage.

Enter three practitioners of slapstick, stooge-like computer nerds named Joe, Larry and Squirrely (heaven help us.)  The nerds want to score with chicks, and Rich figures this is his perfect opportunity to make that three grand by teaching the guys the hows and the what-to-dos around babes.

Rich first turns these guys into long-haired, leather punk motorcyclists.  When that gimmick doesn't work (a funny bordello scene), the action gets progressively dopier when Rich develops an irresistible sex magnet known as "Body Goo" - a concoction of old Ano-Recto Cream and the suntan oil they couldn't unload in the first place.  The fact that the nerds go on to become major rap stars to save a failing radio station only adds to the absurdity of the plot.

There's a few topless scenes (BIG chested girls) sprinkled here and there that spices up the action, and Body Waves is well worth checking out especially if you like a film played fast and loose, Corman-style.
