This tape first saw the light of day several years ago when it was being made mail order-available by a company called The Johnson Brothers (not the bandaid guys). It has since been picked up by PEI, and, to re-acquaint customers with the tape, we're giving it a second look.
The show is set in a club called the Naked Eye Cabaret, and whether it still exists can be authoritatively answered by a Boston resident, I suppose. Wrestling legend "classy" Freddy Blassie serves as host, and when it comes to serving up adlibs, I think Fred left his personality at breakfast with Andy Kaufman. Fred's wit begins and ends with the phrase, "pencil neck geek" which pretty much leaves it up to the contestants to provide the viewing thrills.
Again, note that this a full-nude dance tape, serviced well by the girl-next-door aspect to it. The camerwork gets all the critical body shots, but the wardrobe and hair styles have a kind of 70's time warp feel about them.
"Contest" tapes seem to do well in alternative video sections in stores, and this should be added to your inventory.
