Just as some contemporary adult vid companies get accused of writing their scripts on 3 by 5 cards, the one for Four on the Floor must have been written on the back of a postage stamp. It's practically a non-stop pantomime of a New York swingers' party in the late 1960's, complete with idiot cards thrown in to explain each new event as it appears on the screen— as if said events really need explaining.

The film begins with a title sequence of its star, Priscilla, speeding along the highway, working a four on the floor (thus explaining the title— clever, huh?) like Mario Andretti. Her voiceover explains that she's from California and has come to New York at the behest of her girlfriend to attend a party.

Arriving from the airport, Priscilla strips in her hotel room, takes a shower and the camera has a field day. From this point on, the film assumes the look of a home movie as Priscilla flits from one casual sex episode to another. Orgies are pretty much the order of the day in this mondo-thrill ride of banal carnality.

To make the viewers' day complete, surrealistic images and other artsy crappola reminiscent of directorial indulgences of the Free Love generation are liberally tossed into this paean to cinema-extempore. And the music's pretty good, too.

Stars Priscilla Crisp, Red Pisces, Suzzan Landow, Camp Stevens, Kim Cash.
