From the somber opening credits, the renter is liable to fear he's chosen The World At War, Vol. 12 by mistake. The minimal and confusing plot consists of WWII soldiers debauching girls in the Italian compagnola, a couple of d.p.'s (lacking IPS's) and three murders. Confounding matters, English is neither spoken nor subtitled. Nevertheless, when the fantastically beautiful Wells is on screen, it doesn't matter.
