Melissa Hill, ambitious assistant to arrogant anchorwoman Nikki Sinn, is plagued by nightmare memories of her husband's death. She's also tortured by sexual dreams that center on mystery blonde Julie Rage, who appears in Melissa's real life as her new boss. Is Rage the werewolf-creature who killed her husband? A succubus? A demon? Or just a bitch? Writer-director Greg Steel skillfully twists together the strands, cleverly using Melissa's therapy sessions with sarcastic shrink Bill Majors (a nomination for Best Non-Sex Performance, and he never even moves from his chair) as a narrative link. The incredibly erotic Julie Rage is a veritable chameleon. Each of the different looks she presents offers another side to her volcanic sexuality. Mark her down for Best Supporting Actress, along with Nikki Sinn.

Greg Steel aims to rival John Leslie as a visual sexual stylist. He uses superimposition, multiplied images, changes in camera speed, and exquisitely-timed dissolves. In his hands, these aren't distracting camera tricks, but mood-setters and sexual intensifiers. Notch up nominations for Best Director, Art Direction, Videography, Editing, Special Effects, and Music-Benedictus makes an excellent contribution here. When Steel matches a great script with his erotic vision, he'll make movies that will transcend the genre.
