A neo-noir vid that owes more than a little to Pulp Fiction,including obtuse dialogue, shady characters, and a briefcase that lights up when you open it. The hardcore sex scenes are pure '90s, though.

Well-directed (a cleverly off-camera scene of violence is followed by an inane on-camera fight between look-alikes Mark and Matt Zane), Lust and Lies succeeds based on five sexy, well-shot scenes, all mounted with inventiveness and heat.

Particularly noteworthy is a threeway with Shanna McCullough, Julie Rage and Jonathan Morgan that exhumes the old "Is your name Calvin Klein?" underwear joke from Back to the Future before the sex starts in earnest. Box cover cutie Sunset Thomas is in three of the five sex scenes, including the all-girler and a threeway with Valentino and Rick Masters.

First-rate videography by Jake Jacobs and a clever screenplay helps set the noir mood. One of the best video features from this company in years.
