Reviews

Ginger Lynn's back, VCA's got her.. and fans young and old should be going crazy right about now, since Torn is one of Ginger's best performances ever.

Ginger is soap opera star Clarisse Bijou ("little jewel," according to the AVN French-English dictionary), a hell of a performer on camera but a bitch to work with -- as so many of her colleagues and "friends" attest to under their breaths.  She proves it by arranging a late-night rendezvous with her three co-stars (Michael J. Cox, Alec Metro, Chris Cannon) on one of the show's weirder sets.  Dressed in all vinyl except her crotch, Lynn first delivers hand-and blowjobs through the openings in a huge net, then constantly has a dick in her pussy as she blows and jerks off the other two before opening herself to triple penetration: a Metro/Cox d.p. with Cannon's dick in her mouth.  We'd call that a surefire pre-nom for Best Group Sex Scene.

And then she fires all three from her show.

Or does she?  One thing about Torn is that we're sometimes not sure whether the sex is "real" or simply a product of Lynn's fertile imagination -- such as her j.o./light bondage/strap-on/lick fest in the airplane cabin with Sean Michaels and Juli Ashton.  On the other hand, her pool-table mish/horsie with John Decker seems real enough -- especially since Chloe comments later that the lingering aroma made her horny.

That last is related during the Chloe/Ginger tub-side girl/girler, which is also prime pre-nom material.  The gals lick and finger-fuck each other before sharing a doubleheaded dildo, all with a crackling fire in the mini-fireplace as background.

Other excellent orgasm inducers include the nearly-silent encounter an inebriated Wolf has with Kylie Ireland as he mistakenly stumbles into her hotel room.  She's horny, and blindfolded sleepmate Scotty Schwartz apparently hasn't been able to satisfy her, so she mounts Wolf's cock for a torrid cowgirl ride, then shows remarkable vocal restraint during the equally hot mish.

Also noteworthy is a threeway with Stacy Valentine, RayVeness and Julian in Wolf's dental office.  The gals begin it with some 69, but when repairman Julian walks in, they quickly get his pants off for a little doggie action with the brunette and mish with the blonde.

(sigh) If only Tina Tyler had had sex in there somewhere, instead of just a strip checkers game with the star....

There is a plot to this, incidentally, but that's less than evident until about the last hour:  Ginger's flying back home for a friend's wedding, and coincidentally, a reunion with old buddies Chloe and Devin Wolf.  But the three get along so well that "church" bells ring for this trio as well.

The only problem with Torn is that it tries to do too much with the story, which, once the nine excellent sex scenes are added, starts to look a bit ragged.  (For some reason, the box claims only eight scenes. Hey, guys, we count blowjobs.)  We've seen the script, and would pre-nom it for Best Screenplay.  We're also aware of how much footage was shot that isn't in the finished product, so we can only commiserate with the beleaguered editors (Hart, Hugh Briss and Steven Katz) who had some very tough choices to make -- mostly, whether to concentrate on the story or on fleshing out Lynn's character -- and did a pretty good job making them.

And finally, there's Ginger herself, who brings everything she's learned from mainstream acting to bear on her role here, and easily deserves a Best Actress pre-nom for it.  Ain't nobody can take a simple line like, "But I'm special" and apply the vocal tone and facial expression that makes the viewer believe it wholeheartedly.
