Synopsis

Sweetheart Video presents "Talk Derby to Me," starring Joanna Angel and Stoya. Allison Decker (Joanna Angel) and Suzy Weston (Stoya), known as infernal duo Bruiser and Crusher, used to rule the track, dominating the roller derby world, until their relationship ended with Suzy’s injury and Allison moving to New York. Years later, Suzy is the coach of the Los Angeles Pussy Posse and Allison has just reappeared, hoping Suzy will forgive her and let her return where everything started. Follow the private lives, dramas and quirky personalities of the ladies of the Los Angeles Pussy Posse as they battle jealousy, competition and the need for some serious action on and off the track.

Reviews

There’s a lot of entertainment in this all-girl romp about a roller derby team. Stoya’s the coach (after an injury ended her skating days) and Joanna Angel is the returning veteran who wants back on the team. They played in tandem as Bruiser and Crusher and had a fleeting love relationship. Both maturing actresses are very fine and convincing and they are the heart of the movie. (And Stoya with barely any makeup still has one of the most beautiful faces ever to grace adult movies).

The team faces other conflicts. Young Elsa Jean stammers and gets bullied by her teammates, especially the obnoxious Gia Paige. Joanna helps her “stand up for herself” and has an altercation with Gia, telling her they have to be a team, helping not hurting one another.

Gia and Katrina Jade are the first to get it on with each other. They are joined by Carmen Caliente for some locker room fun and games. Katrina as usual brings most of the heat but the others are not far behind. Joanna is joined in the shower by Stoya for a tender and believable tryst. They’re like real people—they even laugh while they’re fucking. It’s followed by a nice post-coital heart to heart.

A subplot involves Arabelle Raphael and her non-skating partner, Sovereign Syre, who find out that Arabelle is pregnant. (Director James Avalon plays the doctor who gives them the good news.) They have sex, a nice but mostly superfluous scene.

With Arabelle unable to team up with Joanna for the big match, Elsa offers to do it instead. Joanna’s side wins and she even makes up with a repentant Gia. The next day Elsa pays a call on Joanna and they get it on. There’s some nice skating footage, feet only, and writer-director Ricky Greenwood gets good work from everyone in the cast.
