Kicking ass and taking names as a bodyguard for the more undesirable characters in Tokyo seems like the sort of work a rebellious Asian girl might take to cheese off her parents.

In this case, though, cans of whoop-ass are opened way too infrequently. When Cheryl, the bodyguard, actually does unleash, it's usually with her high heels on, displaying a kick-ass masculinity while staying oh-so feminine in a Rambo-meets-Massengil sort of way. But it's not Calgon that takes Cheryl away - it's the tender touch of a woman as she soaks in a tub, adding a tender moment of softcore action before the guns go a-blazin.

Unfortunately, the plot builds too slowly for any real connection to the characters, and by the time the climax occurs, viewers are left shrugging their shoulders in disinterest.
