Innocence suffers injury in this import from England, featuring two scenes of role-playing in Victorian surroundings leading up to authentic caning sessions of such severity that the bruises and welts likely stayed on the girls for weeks. The sets are excellent, the costumes as good as any seen in a high-budget PBS period drama. The first session proves that a girl dressed as a schoolboy who is unmasked and punished for trying to get into a boys' school can be just as enticing as a woman dressed as a schoolgirl. These pale-skinned, rosy-cheeked Northern Europeans blush up nicely at the slightest contact, from over-the-knee spanking to swishing canes. The mistress' aim is slightly off, but her technique is informed and her demeanor is the stuff that submissives dream of encountering at least once in their lives. The piece titled "Bordello Beating" on the box is called "Burlesque Beating" in the video. While the video's length is padded by 12 minutes of previews from other productions, the material offered here is what most S/M video producers strive for. It's a shame we are not told who directed and performed in these excellent scenarios. Let's hope we see more.
