Re-release of this 1997 exploitation thriller due to star Julie Strain's recent cult successes in Heavy Metal 2000 and Bare Wench Project. Filmed on a shoestring budget in Denton county Texas, it has more than enough camp appeal to delight late night TV addicts. Crime boss Joe Estevez (low man on the Sheen/Estevez totem pole) discovers that his associates are being lured into sexual situations and murdered in a bizarre fashion by a beautiful raven-haired hooker. Another celebrity relative, Chris Mitchum (quite a come down from his debut 30 years ago in Bigfoot), complicates matters by being the cop who wants to solve this baffling case.

When this first opened in drive-ins, Strain was best known for her tenure as the definitive Vampirella model and, appropriately, she's cast as the mysterious raven-haired wreaker of sex and death (neither of which are explicitly shown). Her nude scenes are topless-only and clotted with dialog like "I see you've done this before," and "Oh, I've done lots of things before." A torturous amateur metal soundtrack provided by local bands blares over her coy gyrations. For the most part, screen time is monopolized by Bobby's boy, defending nadir virtues in the same way his dad specialized in noir. Even the director, Fred Watkins, exhibits some well-deserved self-loathing by casting himself as a pimp, and killing himself off as Julie's first victim.

After Mitchum retires his tough guy squint, the credits roll and this Special Collectors Edition is appended with a 10-minute glimpse into Julie's leopard-skin world. Her fawning mom is interviewed. She shows us pictures of her little girl's original boobs and assures fans that their idol really is an angel inside. Then we are whisked to Julie's latest photo shoot where she is posing semi-nude with semiautomatics. During breaks she reads poop poems sent by a fan in Jamaica and laments over the quality of toilet paper on the set.
