Synopsis

SexArt director Alis Locanta, in collaboration with scenarist Alan Russell, utilizes the circular, rhythmic flow of the seasons as a central thematic, structural and technical component in his four-part erotic feature "Waltz With Me."

Reviews

Four romantic scenes from a year in the life of two lovers. The scenes are set in the same studio/living room with a central bed, and all four feature the same two performers (Alexis Brill and Franck Franco). The scene-to-scene similarities—same two characters in all scenes, same room, same camera moves orbiting counterclockwise around the action behind intervening furniture and pillars—do not distract, and the scenes are remarkably intimate and romantic, with kissing and eye contact and a feeling of pleasure and closeness.

This is not hearts-and-flowers, peek-a-boo mostly-softcore, but the interpersonal connections get equal weight with stick-it-in-and-get-it-on camera. The couple often shares their bedroom by adding a third, and the three-way scenes have a pleasant share-the-pleasure vibe instead of a can-you-top-this competition.

The tight running time distills the action down to essentials, with settings and lighting offering clues to context. (Oh, a Christmas tree. Must be winter.) The cinematography is acceptably soft, in keeping with the romantic mood, and swift running time a definite plus.
