Synopsis

Jennifer (Callie Calypso) is like any normal 18-year-old high school senior. She lives at home with her father (Tony De Sergio), enjoys hanging out with her best friend Tracy (Payton Simmons), and loves her boyfriend Danny (T. Stone). But Jennifer`s life abruptly changes when she becomes entangled in a passionate affair with Grace (Jodi West), her sexy new stepmother. Tensions rise when Jennifer has second thoughts and tries to end the relationship, but Grace refuses to let go.

Reviews

There is always a moment of disquiet when you are faced with your dad's new wife. Sure, Dad likes her—but will she like you? Callie Calypso has to deal with this when dad Tony DeSergio comes home with new wife Jodi West—and she finds that step-mom likes her. Really likes her. Like, taking her on a picnic and asking provocative questions the first day after she comes back with Dad from their honeymoon. And when they're by the pool and Callie puts suntan oil on Jodi's back and Jodi turns over... stuff happens.

Calypso is particularly good in the sex scene, with her face expressing equal parts pleasure and shock at what the hell is going on here as she gets seduced by her stepmother. But when Jodi wants to do it again and Callie wants to be with her boyfriend, Jodi turns into the stepmother from hell. Maybe even a murderer. Or is it Callie's imagination?

Clearly inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho—including the credits and music—Call Me Mother is an edgy, intelligent thriller.
