As if to underscore his utter dominance of the genre, Axel Braun for the first time incorporates his own name into the title of this latest entry in his unrivaled oeuvre of superhero sagas. And perhaps a bit ironically, though Braun helmed last year’s The Avengers XXX: A Porn Parody as well, Superman vs. Spider-Man feels much more like his own answer to the mainstream Avengers film than that did.

All the favorites of Braun’s other superparodies come together in one mega-package here, and a few new characters join the party too. Aside from the titular pair, back are Andy San Dimas’ Lois Lane, Capri Anderson’s Mary Jane Watson, Eric Masterson’s Lex Luthor and Jenna Presley’s Spider-Woman. And dropping in this time are Kagney Linn Karter as Supergirl, Alexis Texas as Miss Teschmaker, Lily LaBeau as Liz Osborn and Jazy Berlin as the Black Cat, who starts the picture off with a bang by giving Spidey a bang that will get many viewers’ senses tingling but good.

What exactly pits Superman against Spider-Man, you ask? Well, they don't really face off, but Luthor attempts to blackmail the former into capturing the latter and turning him over to Doc Ock (James Bartholet) by kidnapping Superman’s beloved Lois and holding her hostage in his lair. Of course, as soon as the webslinger is delivered, Luthor and the Doc attack Superman with Kryptonite-tinged weapons, rendering both heroes powerless. Luthor adds insult to injury by fucking Lois right in front of her downed super sweetheart (promising he’ll be set free if she complies).

Earlier, Miss Teschmaker works a similar ploy on Superman’s magnificently sexy cousin, promising to remove a Kryptonite necklace from around her neck if she’ll partake in some super snatch snacking—and the result immediately goes down as an early contender to beat for most off-the-charts girl/girler of the year.

We could go on and on about SvS’s many merits, but suffice it to say, this is Axel Braun at his best … a prime example of the man’s uncanny ability to blend exciting moviemaking, scalding sex and a true geek’s reverence for his source material. An inevitable smash among porn fans and comic connoisseurs alike.
