Used Fellow Student's E-Mail To Spam Porn

Boys will be boys, but this is ridiculous: a University of Missouri at Columbia student is facing charges for using another student's e-mail to spam unsuspecting others about pornographic Websites.

Matthew Graves was hit with three counts of computer tampering last week, the Associated Press reported, after a probe by UMC police and office of information and access technology personnel that began in early February. He's said to have received commissions for every individual who used the unidentified adult verification Website the spams pushed.

Campus police said school officials reported "unusual activities" dating back to October 2002 on the victim's e-mail account. The AP said the school froze the account and contacted the victim, but Graves allegedly kept up porn spamming through the victim's account despite the installation of new passwords.
