We've never heard of anyone wanting to be screwed by the police - until this week: Women from 24 Catholic Church groups stormed a Kandara police station demanding that either the police close illegal drinking dens - or make love to them. The ladies say the dens make their husbands impotent. And they brought Kandara to a dead stop with their daylong protest earlier this week.
"Our men have turned to vegetables. They leave home early and come back intoxicated. There is nobody to meet the sexual needs of wives,'' a daily newspaper quoted one woman as saying.
The ladies demanded the officer running the station choose between ordering his men to make love to them or find them new husbands because they were sexually frustrated, according to Reuters.
It isn't known yet, however, just how police reacted to the ladies' demands.
HONOLULU - City Councilman Andy Mirikitani is known for working against adult video stores and strip clubs - but the Federal government is probing whether he's taking kickbacks in office.
The FBI searched Mirikitani's offices, car, and home last month, as part of a probe into whether he made former staffers pay him back for salary bonuses he awarded them last year. Mirikitani denies any such scheme and says former staffers are trying to smear him.
But he would not offer a comment on the searches when asked by the Honolulu Advertiser.
