According to AIMs Sharon Mitchell, a male performer in the industry is knowingly spreading STDs and may have gone so far as to fake test results saying that he is negative.
The performer in question, whom Mitchell describes as "a very prominent, often used veteran performer" has refused to test for chlamydia or gonorrhea since March. According to Mitchell, the man has been involved in at least two STD outbreaks in the last two weeks.
By law Mitchell cannot disclose the identity of the performer.
"I know its cost him at least some work. Some girls asked to see his test results, and he didn't have anything to show them, so they refused to work with him. Now I hear he's showing fake test results," Mitchell told AVN.com.
"He's putting other performers health in jeopardy and exposing companies to potential liability. And if I can get my hands on proof that he is forging AIM documents, I will prosecute," Mitchell said.
Noting that production companies have access to AIM records via a password protected database, Mitchell suggests all production companies utilize that tool to verify all male performers STD test records for the near future.
Furthermore, she asks that all talent show diligence in asking for verification of testing to avoid future STD outbreaks.
