Nina Hartley Kicks Off GameLink's Masturbation Marathon

SAN FRANCISCO - Adult star Nina Hartley will give an exclusive live performance from 5-8 p.m. PDT on Wednesday on GameLink's live chat portal GameLinkLive.com. 

"Nina Hartley has been celebrated for her popular line of instructional video titles that teach people how to have safe and fun sex," Stacie Adams, GameLink's social media coordinator, told AVN Online. "So we think it will be very exciting for her fans to get the opportunity to see her perform prolonged masturbation this year as part of our ‘Pornstar Masturbation Marathon.'" 

Hartley will attempt to continuously masturbate for three hours in celebration of National Masturbation Month. 

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to San Francisco's Center for Sex and Culture, an organization that promotes masturbation as safe sex. 

"Nina was the perfect adult celebrity to help raise awareness about masturbation as a tool for practicing safe sex," Adams said. "Our members are generally used to straight-forward porn, as opposed to educational erotic entertainment, and, at the same time, this is a great chance for them to learn about the history of National Masturbation Month and its annual celebration." 

Adams said GameLink plans to invite other adult performers to "try and beat her record" in future broadcasts. 

GameLink also is sponsoring the Center for Sex and Culture's "Masturbate-a-thon," which will take place Sunday in San Francisco. Hartley will co-host the live masturbation event but will not perform.
