Vivid Alt hosted a party for its two latest releases, Girls Lie and Dana DeArmond Does the Internet (D3TI), on Thursday night at the Beauty Bar in Hollywood.
Performers and directors alike came out for the event. Among the crowd were Charlotte Stokely, DeArmond, Reagan Maddux, Lystra, Kimberly Kane, Venus, Jason Sinclair, David Peskin, Max Powers of Good Vibrations, directors Eon McKai and Vena Virago (director of the upcoming Vivid Alt feature East Side Story) and Malachi Ecks, producer of several Vivid Alt titles.
McKai, who directed Girls Lie and heads up the year-old production company, told AVN.com that he was really happy with the event. “It was a great chance for us to get out in the public eye, before we head off to Las Vegas for AEE and are partying and working every day…and become completely different animals,” McKai joked.
McKai added that he and some of the Vivid Alt crew will be headed to San Francisco on Jan. 27 as part of a signing tour.
The party was free and open to the public, and the night featured giveaways from Vivid Alt and Pleasures on Melrose (7314 Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles).
“We’re really getting behind Pleasures on Melrose as one of our preferred retailers,” said McKai, “and we’ll be doing some great signings with them in the future.”
McKai’s Girls Lie is a pornographic journey through the deceptive lives of four starlets: Charlotte Stokely, DeArmond, Riley Mason and Pixie Pearl. Dana DeArmond Does the Internet is a DeArmond’s own sexy porno biopic, co-starring Maddux, Princess Donna and Lorelei Lee.
