Biography

Michael Lucas is a gay Jewish porn star, founder and owner of Lucas Entertainment.

He was born in Moscow, Russia, moved from Germany to France, until immigrating to the United States of America where he became an American citizen in 2004.

Before coming to the U.S., Michael Lucas attended law school in Moscow, receiving a degree in law. He worked as a nude model and male prostitute, appearing in a German heterosexual adult film. He went on to work with French director Jean-Daniel Cadinot under the pseudonym “Ramzes Kairoff” for two gay pornographic movies released in 1996.

From 1997 to 1998, he began using the stage name “Michael Lucas” when he became a Falcon exclusive, performing the role of “Top” in five films.

In 1998, Michael Lucas made his first directorial debut with the adult film, Back In The Saddle, from which he also performed on-screen.

In the same year, Michael Lucas founded Lucas Entertainment and based the company in New York. Subsequently, he created Lucas Distribution Inc. in 2004.

To add to his success in the adult film industry, fashion photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders’ book XXX: 30 Porn Star Photographs presented Michael Lucas amongst its cast. In addition, he appeared in Thinking XXX, an HBO documentary on the porn stars and the photo-shoots.

In 2005, he started LucasBlog.com.

Within the same year, he released Michael Lucas’ Dangerous Liasons, which featured cameos from Amanda Lepore, Boy George, Bruce Vilanch, Graham Norton, Lady Bunny, Michael Musto, and RuPaul. The pornographic movie is an adaptation of the Pierre Choderlos de Laclos novel and a remake of the 1988 film. At the 2006 GayVN Awards, it won three awards for Best DVD Extras/Special Edition, Best Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor. Michael Lucas’ Dangerous Liasons tied for the 2006 GayVn Award for “Best Pictcure” with Rascal Video’s Wrong Side Of The Tracks Part I & Part II, directed by Chi Chi LaRue. Subsequently, More Dangerous: The Making of Michael Lucas’ Dangerous Liasons, a documentary of the film, premiered at the 2006 Philadelphia Internation Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.

In 2006, Lucas Entertainment released Michael Lucas’ La Dolce Vita Part 1 & 2 as a gay pornographic remake of the 1960 Fellini classic La Dolce Vita. With 14 nominations at the 2007 GayVN Awards, it won all (Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Threesome, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Non-Sex Performance, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Music, Best Art Direction, Best Videography, Best DVD Extras/Special Edition, Best Packaging, and Best Marketing Campaign), setting a record.
