Okay, here's the premise: a bunch of guys get together for an imaginary tour of duty with the "Buddy System" Company, which promises to satisfy your craving for the military experience. We're not talking survivalists or gun nuts or uniform freaks here, just some clean-cut collegiate types with free time on their hands. But the military aspect is just for show. In this outfit, all the push-ups have an orgasm at the end, and words like guy and bayonet are strictly metaphors.

The best thing in Buddy System is newcomer Ryan Yeager, a natural performer and dynamite discovery. He's hard, lean, young and very versatile, the epitome of the all-American boy-next-door. Scripter/director Chi Chi LaRue has the good sense to cast him in three hot and heavy scenes in a row. Videographer Paul Norman liners on his find physique but zeroes in on Yeager's compelling facial reactions, which really grab the viewer by the nuts.

The "military experience" idea isn't much fleshed out beyond the kind of play-acting that consenting adults might perform in their own homes. But the cast and action are solid from start to finish, and the packaging, typical for Vivid, is seductively superior.
