This tape gets and A+ for conception, a B+ for execution. Modelled after the Old "Mission Impossible" series, the action centers on special agent Nick Fabrini, who is charged with "deprogramming" Steve Ross, Brad Phillips, and Butch Taylor, adult stars who have been brainwashed into pushing the anti-sex,anti-free speech agenda of the far right. Fabrini appropriately sees the tape identifying the principals in a booth in an adult bookstore. When he returns home, his lover is assassinated by an unseen man.
So far, superb! But after the situation is established, the script gets a big bogged down in scenes that seem only peripherally related to the main plot. Since we don't learn the outcome until Part 2, maybe everything will fall smoothly into place. But if that's the case, the script should give us clearer transitions and connecting links. But what you see is sexually very good, even if at times uncertainly connected to the main plot. A special kudo should go to newcomer Jason West, who plays a poolside waiter with the aplomb of a first-rate actor —and may be the sexiest blond on the block, to boot.
