Reviews

This title deserves special praise for three reasons. The first is the good news that Lucky Luc’s International Studios is branching out to include material beyond the “cinema verite” approach and thus broadening its viewer appeal. Since Luc obviously cares about this industry (how many producers can make the same claim?), his company truly deserves whatever success comes its way. The second reason is that Thor Johnson once again proves his sense of humor by focusing on six gay guys who have to attend school in order to keep their driver’s licenses.

The third cause for celebration is the cast, with Jason Ross (as one of the students) living up to his “newcomer of the year” award and with three others actors giving him fine support: Chad Knight (as a fellow student), newcomer Brad Berry (as the instructor), and Jeff Zyan (as the traffic cop).

The only drawback to this production is the episodic nature of the plot, which at points seems confusing or even inconsistent. But most viewers will feel more than satisfied with the overall result—and Jason Ross fans gets a special bonus in the final scene, when (after a hardcore coupling that ignites the screen) he and Knight gives us some old-fashioned smooching in counterpoint to the frantic action among the rest of the cast. Well worth stocking by any store with a gay section.
