With the subtitle "The Rectum Never Forgets," there's ample warning that the viewer is in for some fun. Director Michael Zen has outdone himself once again, with a video that has it all. Dan Thomas' wild script is filled with off-the-wall characters, and the cast magnificently brings them to life.
Kurt Young's big comeback performance is simply brilliant as a young military veteran who we meet at a cruisy park in Washington, D.C. His sign says he will work for food, but off-duty D.A. Eric Evans has a different take on what he should do with his body. He pays Young to have a hot sex session in a shabby shack. Then things get complicated.
Young is later forced in front of a judge to prove his sanity. Instead, he whips out his dick until the justice flees from the room. He soon lands in the State Psychiatric Hospital, otherwise known as Sodom, where the staff is more insane than the patients. Derek Bishop is the twisted head doctor, who later turns into the Marquis de Sade. He and his sadistic nurse Will Clark use the facility to pursue their hedonistic interests. There is too much going on to describe here. Suffice it to say that One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is benign kids' play compared to this. Of the hospital's colorful cast of residents, Jack Simmons stands out as the most dynamic. As Maxine, he plays a gender-confused neurotic, and manages to steal every scene he's in.
Director Zen pulls out all the stops when it comes to special effects. He employs the device of fast-forwarding parts of his own sex scenes until the action gets good. In the midst of all of the insanity, there is a bitter-sweet love story which has Young searching for his long lost army pal Steve Cannon. Even the video's exciting climax is unique. Ever heard of murder by colonic?
