Good Vibrations, a women-owned business, is celebrating Women's History Month with a plethora of online promotions including discounts on select women-made products through March 31st.
"Good Vibrations started back in 1977 as a place to make sex-related shopping easy and comfortable for women. And we still go out of our way to support and encourage those gutsy women who create sexual products, whether they do it by making videos, publishing books, inventing or producing sex toys," Good Vibrations resident sexologist Carol Queen told AVN.com. "Good Vibrations is about celebrating women who take their pleasure into their own hands. Our motto is 'When you want something right, do it yourself,' and that says it all: Women's history month recognizes the women who dare to make a difference, and those women who create erotica and sex toys are doing just that!"
Good Vibrations will be offering discounts, up to 33% off regular prices, on a number of toys made by women-owned companies, adult videos that were directed or produced by women, and female-penned books and audio erotica.
The first half of the month will feature discounts on books, toys, and audio erotica. Tristan Taormino's Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex Women and Exhibtionism for the Shy by Carol Queen are among the female-penned literature being highlighted. Toys from female owned companies such as California Exotic Novelties and Asian Leather will be discounted as well.
The second half of the month will showcase the adult video works.
VCA contract-performer/director Chloe, whose Chloe's I Came Did You is one of the adult videos being featured as part of the celebration, was thrilled by the show of support.
"I think it's wonderful. The women in this industry need to stick together. We're the lifeblood of the industry. Without us there would be porn, but only gay porn. It's always nice to see women who have spent time in the trenches get the support from other females in the industry.
Other works being showcased are Carol Qs Great Vibrations directed by Joanie Blank, Voluptuous Vixens directed by Sadie Foxe, Bend Over Boyfriend 1 directed by Fatale, Femme 2 directed by Dyanna Lauren, Taken and White Lightning both directed by Veronica Hart, Eyes of Desire 2 and One Size Fits All both directed by Candida Royalle, and How to Female Ejaculate directed by Debbie Sundahl.
