Porn companies have been jumping over themselves lately to provide aspiring porn stars with a shot at performing in reality porn a la American Idol. Sunset Productions has decided to tap into a different sort of porn talent hopefuls – aspiring screenwriters.
With the launch of the Erotic Scriptwriting Contest, Sunset Productions is searching for a shootable script to produce – and the winning writer will win $500, an all expense paid trip to Hollywood to be on the set for the production.
Ginger Lynn, Inari Vachs, Felecia, Chloe, Tabitha Stevens, Tawny Roberts, and Bridgette Kerkove are listed as porn stars who have expressed an interest in being a part of the project, though Weiss notes that their actual appearance depends on their schedules at the time.
Henri Pachard, Bud Lee, and other producers and directors will judge the contest, along with staff from Sunset Productions and World Modeling.
The second place winner wins $250 and 100 VHS tapes or DVDs. The third place winner wins $250 dollars and 50 VHS tapes or DVDs
The Erotic Scriptwriting Contest is open to all non-professional scriptwriters who are 18 years or older. Proof of age is requiring with the submission.
Scripts should be no longer than 15 pages and include 5 sex scenes. If the winning script includes a non-sex role, the contest winner will be offered the opportunity to appear in the movie.
There is a $50 entry fee for each submission. As a bonus, each entry will receive two adult titles on either VHS or DVD, except in Alaska, Florida, Oklahoma, and Utah, states where this is prohibited.
The deadline for submissions is September 30, 2003. A winner will be announced October 15, 2003 and the video will be shot in Los Angeles on or about October 31, 2003.
