X-Play Finally Set to Shoot 'Not Charlie’s Angels XXX'

LOS ANGELES—The parody masters at X-Play are at it again, heading into pre-production for Not Charlie’s Angels XXX, the popular television series that catapulted Farrah Fawcett to superstardom. X-Play originally scheduled the project as a summer 2009 production, and then plans were made to release the movie in the winter. However, X-Play’s schedule was so packed that there was not enough time to create the movie, which will be one of its biggest productions ever.

“Time flies when you’re having fun, and with all of the sitcums like Not the Cosbys XXX, Married with Children, the Brady Bunch sequels, Three’s Company, Monday Night Football and our big comedy feature Flight Attendants that we shot this year, we just didn’t have enough time,” stated X-Play co-producer Scott David.

Although X-Play announced plans for Not Charlie's Angels XXX last spring, the gap in timing gave a few other bandwagon jumpers thoughts of creating their own version of the ABC television show about three beautiful private detectives fighting all sorts of crime under the direction of their boss Charlie, who was never seen but only heard over a telephone speaker box. But none of the companies actually shot the movie, clearing the way for X-Play to continue with the original plans.

The movie will be directed by 2010 AVN Awards Director of the Year nominee Will Ryder, and Not Charlie’s Angels XXX studio posters will be displayed in Las Vegas at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo. But the company is not saying who will distribute the prized project or star in it. “Let’s just say that this movie is going to be big and have everything you loved back in the ’70s, including the beautiful feathered hair and sexy costumes,” co-producer David said. “It will be X-Play quality.”

In addition to Fawcett, the original Charlie’s Angels television show starred Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and later Cheryl Ladd.

When asked if he and Ryder were worried that other companies might beat them to the punch with their own parody version of Charlie’s Angels, David shrugged his shoulders and thought for a moment. “I really don’t care what anybody else does, but if I were them I certainly wouldn’t want to put my money in a competing movie that X-Play and Will Ryder was about to come out with—that’s for sure,” he bragged.

Other upcoming movies that will be released in 2010 from X-Play include Not the Bionic Woman XXX, Not Animal House XXX, Not the Love Boat XXX and Not the Mary Tyler Moore Show XXX. Adds Scott David with a laugh, “If I were them, I wouldn’t do those movies either.”

Not Charlie’s Angels XXX will be released in March 2006. Check out other X-Play movies at Sitcums.com.
