Tanya Tate Speaks Out Against U.K.’s War on Porn

LONDON—Award-winning adult entertainment superstar Tanya Tate recently spoke out against new regulations in the U.K. regarding production of pornography, with her comments being published in TheDailyBeast.com as well as BuzzFeed.com.

The director/star of the AVN Award-nominated movies Cosplay Queen & Tied Up Teens and Brit School Brats 2: Rule Brit Tanya, was candid in her disdain for the new laws which she perceives as puzzling as well as sexist. On Dec. 1, the Audiovisual Media Services Regulations (AMSR) went into effect, banning pornographic media depicting acts that could be “potentially life-threatening,” which includes face-sitting and female ejaculation.

“Clearly, very little thought went into the creation of these laws,” said Tanya. “Unless, the ultimate goal of the lawmakers was to demonstrate how out of touch and sexist they are, I can see no reason these new laws were put in place. I love my home country dearly, but in the last few years the government has made some bad choices in the way they wish to regulate British adult entertainment.”
