SoCal Licensing Signs Rock Star Entertainment, skinworXXX to Broadcasting, Licensing Deal

LOS ANGELES & LAS VEGAS—SoCal Licensing has inked an exclusive agreement with Rock Star Entertainment to represent the studio in all broadcast and licensing deals in all worldwide markets.

Rock Star Entertainment is the new brainchild of powerhouse director/producer David Lord and AVN award-winning director/producer Joshua.

Joshua, for his part, is excited to have SoCal Licensing introduce his movies to the entertainment content market to increase the visibility of Rock Star Entertainment and SkinworXXX to customers throughout the world.

"David Lord and I truly feel we have captured lightning in a bottle with Superstars," Joshua said. "Teagan [Presley] and I are constantly bombarded with requests for a new Deviance film, so what better way to get things steamrolling than to release both of these films, as well as all our others through our two amazing partners, Adam & Eve for DVD distribution and SoCal Licensing for our broadcast and digital distribution.”

Jim Crawford, president of SoCal Licensing, is ecstatic about adding another blue chip studio to SoCal's growing portfolio of top tier production companies.

"Joshua and I immediately realized that we had a similar vision in where we see our industry heading and the importance and urgency of maximizing the ancillary revenue streams available in the broadcast and VOD arenas," Crawford said. "To be able to add another studio of this caliber to our group of studios is something we are quite excited about. David Lord and I go back many years; as a matter of fact David is one of my closest friends. I’m glad to be working with him again.”

Lord, of course, was equally enthused about the new partnership with his friend. “We've seen what Jim Crawford has done for the other studios he represents; so quite frankly, it was a no brainer to go with SCL," he said.

In 2012 Lord and Joshua signed an exclusive production and DVD distribution agreement with Adam & Eve. The agreement is for Rock Star Entertainment to be Adam & Eve's primary source for producing content for the label.

“I have been directing for Adam & Eve for a good many years, now I own what we are doing together,” Lord said.

Lord and Joshua hit the ground running with the highly anticipated releases of Adam & Eve: Superstars and the third installment of the hit series, Deviance, with D3viance. Rock Star's latest film, Trashy, which has just arrived in retail stores, is already proving to be one of the most requested films from SoCal Licensing’s broadcast and lodging customers.
