CHATSWORTH, Calif.—New Sensations/Digital Sin received a combined 33 nominations for the 2016 AVN Awards, including multiple noms for New Sensations' feature The Submission of Emma Marx: Boundaries, the Digital Sin showcase Meet Aidra Fox, and award-winning series Tabu Tales. Filmmakers Jacky St. James and Eddie Powell are recognized for individual projects in addition to the category for Director of the Year.
Boundaries, the acclaimed and chart-topping sequel to New Sensations' 2013 blockbuster The Submission of Emma Marx, earned eight nominations, among them Best BDSM Movie and directing and screenplay honors for Jacky St. James. The film's leads, Penny Pax and Richie Calhoun, were recognized with acting nominations for their portrayal of unlikely lovers navigating a contractual BDSM romance.
New Sensations also earned slots for Best Comedy, Best Anthology, and Best Ingenue for Tales From the Edge: Almost Relatives, Tales From the Heart: Exes & Ohhhs, and The Cute Little Babysitter 5, respectively. A pioneering force in the hotwifing genre, New Sensations picked up two nominations in the new category for Best Polyamory Movie: Tales From the Edge: A Hotwife Blindfolded and Watching My Hotwife.
Digital Sin's acclaimed signature showcase series Meet... scored four nominations for its newest entry Meet Aidra Fox, including Best Star Showcase and Best Director - Non-Feature honors for co-directors Eddie Powell and Paul Woodcrest. The movie was also nominated for Best Group Sex Scene and Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene — featuring Aidra Fox and stars Riley Reid and Remy LaCroix.
Tabu Tales, named Best New Series by AVN in 2015, received five nominations, among them Best Taboo Relations Movie for The Father Figure and Best All-Girl Series for A Mother Daughter Thing. The controversial line also secured slots for The Father Figure and Sisterly Love 2 in the performance categories of Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene and Best Girl/Girl Sex Scene, respectively.
New lines acknowledged this year with nominations included My Hotwife's Gangbang and Schoolgirl Bound for Best New Series, Shane Diesel's Black Bull for Hire for Best Interracial Release, and Tales From the Edge: Restraint for Best BDSM Movie and Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene.
