New Sensations/Digital Sin Receive 7 XRCO Noms

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—New Sensations and Digital Sin received a combined seven XRCO Award nominations for its 2013 awards. The studios' acclaimed lines The Romance Series and The Couples Series are strongly represented in this year’s nomination list.

The Romance Series’ The Friend Zone is up for Best Release and Anthony Rosano for Best Actor, while The Couples Series’ Torn (winner of the 2013 AVN Award for Best Romance Release) is up for Best Feature, Best Actor (Steven St. Croix) and Best Actress (Remy LaCroix).

New Sensations director, Eddie Powell also was nominated by XRCO for Best Director in the Features’ category. Every feature film he directed in 2012 for the studio (TornThe Friend ZoneLove Marriage and Other Bad Ideas) received critical acclaim throughout the industry and were honored with several awards and nominations as well.

Founded in 1984, the X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) gives writers and editors from the adult entertainment industry a voice in selecting the year's best in X-rated movies. The purpose was, and still is, to award works of excellence, recognizing specifically the unique qualities of sexually explicit films.

“I'd like to thank XRCO for our 2013 award nominations,” New Sensations President Scott Taylor said. “As a collection of the industry’s best reviewers, it is a true honor to have our titles selected out of the thousands of movies produced and watched this year.”

Lead actor, and XRCO nominee for Torn, Steven St. Croix added, "New Sensations is on the right track with films like Torn and they're obviously striking a chord with viewers. The thing to remember is that the audience is more sophisticated now. That doesn't mean 'sophisticated' in the sense that they want big productions, but that they want to see real situations played out with real emotion. There is a growing market hungry for quality content and these noms prove New Sensations is doing the right thing."

Digital Sin's Pound the Round is nominated for Best POV Series.
