NEW YORK—Adult performer Maryjean has been seen in music videos before, but now the busty Dominican beauty is making her mainstream acting debut in a short movie titled “Laff K.” Starring comedian Ohene Cornelius and directed by Joseph Patrick Conroy, “Laff K” can be seen on Vimeo.
“I very much enjoyed my experience in ‘Laff K,’” said Maryjean. “I think everyone will enjoy this short film—it’s dark and funny, and I am proud of it.”
“Laff K” is a black comedy about struggling comedian Greg Norman (played by actor/comedian/writer Ohene Cornelius) and his encounters with fate, as he haplessly attempts to end his life. Maryjean plays the part of Lady, the girlfriend of an obnoxious heckler who Ohene’s character encounters during a “Comedy in the Bush” event.
