LOS ANGELES—Karla Lane is part of history—as one of the performers nominated for BBW Performer of the Year, a brand new AVN Awards category. Although BBW has traditionally been considered a niche, it is actually one of the most popular and fastest growing genres in adult.
In addition to Lane, the list of nominees for the new AVN Awards category includes April Flores, Courtney Trouble and Klaudia Kelly. Lane is definitely a top contenders—she’s been in the industry longer than any of the other nominees (she started in 2005 right when she turned 18), has filmed over 600 scenes for DVDs and the internet and has over 200 DVDs on store shelves, and she also has a huge fan base.
“I was so excited when the nominations came out and couldn’t believe I was nominated in a category with April Flores and Courtney Trouble—April is a legend and Courtney is an amazing director,” said Lane. “I’d love to win, but there’s some stiff competition. I’m really glad AVN is recognizing BBWs as part of their awards.”
